Chances for rain enter the forecast today and are expected to last through Wednesday. The best chances for rainfall are today for a large portion of the tri-state area. The areas with the most expected accumulation include Goodland, Colby, St. Francis and Hoxie. Temperatures over the next couple days range in the upper 50's to mid 60's at the storms move through. Temperatures return to the mid to upper 70's by Friday heading into the weekend. Overnight lows are expected to stay in the mid to upper 40's for the remainder of the week.

CCC Events and Notices

Kick-Off Horse Show on Saturday, May 10th
The equine program at Colby Community College will host the Annual Kick-Off Horse Show at the CCC farm. Registration begins at 8 AM and the show starts at 10 AM. The event is intended to help riders of all ages “kick off” their spring and summer show seasons. Prizes will be awarded, including high-point recognition for each age group. Registration for the show will be judged according to 4-H rules. Participants are required to provide records of their horse’s current vaccinations and a negative Coggins test. Hospital Celebrates 75 years!
Rawlins County Health Center is inviting the community to a free barbecue lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 7 at Columbian Hall in Atwood. This is to celebrate the opening of the hospital May 7, 1950.

Awards Day 
USD 105 Awards Day is 9 a.m. Friday, May 9 at the Rawlins County Elementary School gym. Everyone welcome.

Around Atwood:
Egg Hunt on April 19th
The Easter Bunny will be hoppin’ down the trail to Atwood at 10 a.m. on April 19 to join kids ages birth to 4th grade for an Easter Egg Hunt on the courthouse lawn. There will even be special eggs. The event is sponsored by the Radiant Chapter Order of Eastern Star and community partners PDC, Atwood businesses and private community members.

In Herndon: 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Herndon City Park, for children up to fourth grade. There will also be a bake sale.
